I worked in restaurants for a number of years during my schooling. During that time I learnt a thing or two about wine… Now, I’m no expert but I do have a passion for wine and wine tasting and believe it’s important to try different things as wine is very personal and I’m often surprised! With that in mind I have taken many a holiday to different wine regions particularly in NZ. Here are a few posts that I have written since starting the blog (more to come):
I would also highly recommend heading to the Hawkes Bay/Napier/Gisborne region if you’re in pursuit of wine in NZ – particularly of the chardonnay or heavy cabernet/syrah styles of wine. If you’re in pursuit of aromatics or pinot noir you have to try both Martinborough and Central Otago.. Both regions have some exceptional wines. Auckland itself has some good vineyards out west too, give Kumeu River a try if you’re out that way.
