Amazing Food Adventures started in January 2011 with the aim to bring you the best of the best from Auckland and New Zealand, like having a local on your side when you’re travelling about the beautiful country. To see the reviews, current as of October 2011 (and many of them good enough that I hope they’re still there for years to come!) click here.
Times have changed and the boy and I set off on our own adventure and decided to take you with us! We are now located in London with a view to travelling the world more extensively so many more recommendations to come! Amazing Food Adventures is also growing, with the addition of Alana a fellow kiwi in London, and we’re open to submissions from others who’ve tales they would like to share on eating out wherever you are in the world.
The Amazing Food Adventures Team
The original mission: I intend to share recipes and tips about where to go to eat out in Auckland and will take you on my journeys further afield as well. When I was backpacking one of the best things to do was to make friends with locals and let them show you the best bar for a drink, place for dinner or a snack and the best coffee. It’s not always easy to meet the locals though – especially if you are in a hotel – so take this blog as advice on the best of the best available if you’re visiting Auckland, New Zealand and wherever else in the world I happen to take you! Check out my first post to see why I set out with this mission.
The boy (Rory): comments coming.
The fellow Kiwi in London (Alana): photo coming
Leanne thought it would be a good idea if I type up a little introduction to explain who I am and why I’m posting on Amazing Food Adventures. There’s nothing more difficult than writing a concise description about yourself but I shall try!
I’m a kiwi who moved to London six months ago. Normally I express myself though Twitter but sometimes my opinions (of which there are many since I am rather opinionated!) just don’t fit in 140 characters. Especially my opinions on food. So it is very convenient for me that my friend Leanne keeps a lovely blog about food and doesn’t mind me contributing occasionally. Plus she gets to be an editor which I think is a pretty sweet job title!
Most of my posts will be about London but some of my European food adventures will get written up too. So hopefully you will be seeing be some posts from me on Amazing Food Adventure sometime soon.
